What airport should we fly into?

Glasgow airport (GLA), is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from Carlise, and Edinburgh airport (EDI) is about 2 hours. We suggest investigating both of these options to find what flights work best for you!

How do we get to Carlisle from the airport?

There are several options to get to Carlisle:

1. TRAIN: There is a train from Glasgow Central station and one from Edinburgh Waverly station that both arrive at Carlisle Halston Hotel station, right by our suggested hotel. Both journeys are between 1 hour and 1 hour and a half for around $30 per ticket, you should purchase these on Trip.com.

2. CAR RENTAL: Cars can be rented at either airport. For your convenience, following are a few links to popular rental car agencies. Cars can also be rented with either of these companies in Carlisle after the wedding if you want to travel around the UK.

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Average June temperatures near Springkell range from daytime highs in the mid-60s to evening lows in the mid-40s. For up-to-date weather information prior to your departure, please review the local weather forecast.

For your comfort, we kindly recommend bringing a light wrap for the cooler evening hours and sunglasses for the outdoor ceremony.

What Is the dress code for your wedding festivities?

The dress code for our wedding ceremony is formal. Full length dresses for ladies and suits for gentlemen will be appropraite.

Will the wedding ceremony be indoor or outdoor?

Our afternoon ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, followed by dinner indoors.

Please note: In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to an alternate location. We will keep you updated with any changes!

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?

Our wedding ceremony on June 31st will be held at Springkell house, and the dinner will follow there as well.

What are the location addresses of the pre- and post-wedding festivities?

A group shuttle will be arranged from the Halston Hotel in Carlisle at 11:30 am to Springkell House on Tuesday, June 16th.

Are additional guests invited?

Due to limited space at our venue, we kindly ask that only the individuals listed on your invitation attend. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate additional guests at the wedding festivities. We truly appreciate your understanding and support.
